MISSION AND GOALS

The basic mission of EUPRIN is to incorporate the mentality and the value of "prevention" in the basic decision making process of European society in all areas of life, including private, government, politics, economics and social areas.

HISTORY

In 2010, The Public Foundation for a Responsible Society (Felelős Társadalomért Közhasznú Alapítvány) started the Safety In Europe program, with the Safety in Hungary pilot.  The Safety in Hungary project successfully began in cooperation and with the support of the Budapest Police Crime Prevention Division (BRFK) and the BTDM nonprofit kft (Budapest Info).

In 2011, the Foundation saw a need to create and operate the European Prevention Institute (EUPRIN), which can more effectively focus on prevention in the areas of crime, health, economy, society and politics. The Foundation has transferred the Safety program's management to EUPRIN, which is better able to take the program to its full potential in Hungary as well as in Europe.

“We're an organization determined to further the thought of prevention as a widely accepted method of solution in the areas of crime, medicine, economy, society education and politics. Our approach is functional and results oriented. Our preventive efforts complement existing reactive solutions "
